Great shoulder rest!

Chamber festival ends with landmark Stravinsky work
In addition to his practice as a play for the small forces at a time when many designers have been in the trenches of World War I, the score marks Stravinsky "definitive break with the Russian school orchestra," he wrote later in life. "My choice of instruments was influenced by an important event in my life at that time, the discovery of American jazz."
Indeed, in L'Histoire du Soldat, the tonal-but-disheveled, stripped-down musical language that would be an important part of Stravinsky's musical language for the next 30 years is heard here in all its glory playful. There is nothing else quite like it in the directory, and representations of work are always artistic events.
The play, which will be led by Alexander Jimenez, can be done with one or three narrators, and the Palm Beach Chamber Music Festival of the version, the narrator will be delivered by the actress Barbara Bradshaw, most recently seen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane at the Palm Beach Dramaworks. The soldier will be directed by Joe Gillie, director of the Cultural Center Old School Square in Delray Beach, and the party of the devil will be made by Randolph Dellago, artistic director of the Delray Beach Playhouse.
