Start with this one
The Bach 3C is about as standard a trumpet mouthpiece as you can get and is usually the first step-up mouthpiece from the beginner's 7C. Mouthpieces are such and individual matter, and many players get neurotic about it, so before you go off and spend a bunch of money in search of the perfect... -
Nice mouthpiece for those who want consistency
It's hard to review a mouthpiece, because every brass player is going to have a preference as to what they like in a mouthpiece based on their embouchure, the shape and size of their lips, the type of playing they do, etc. I will say that the Bach 3C is a nice all-around mouthpiece for both...
Answers
I was wondering what is the difference between different mouthpieces and how to choose the right one for me.
The difference is that the decline in (1c, 3c, 5c, etc.), plus the hole in the mouthpiece that you blow through that allows you to play notes easier but you need more air.

what is a really goo trumpet mouthpiece for hitting very high notes, also, I am going to play in 9th grade next year, what will I need to know how to do? will I need to double-tongue?
I recommend the 14A4a, it is really good for the anything above a high C.

So I lost my voice.
Bach was November 1 EW. My instructor said it was not good anyway. I got this Yamaha 11B4 now, and I'm looking to get a good bill once and for all.
Since LOUD Mouthpieces have been abandoned, I am a little lost right now (just kidding). But seriously. I leave this point high note. I really want something that will help my consistency of F # to C, because 11B4 (sort of) goes against my embrochure my intonations and affects the lowest range.
Think something great, but I could just go to a Bach 3C.

Registration is fast, simple and absolutely free! Friend loaned us a modified mouthpiece last week: Trombone mouthpiece with a cornet shaft. Used an adapter to put the cornet shaft in a bach strad. Mouthpiece was the one John Cress (Trombonist with the Tommy Dorsey Band - used when he played a Cornet) Question will this affect the sound on the strad? Tutor is with the LA Chamber Orchestra and tried a tuner and the notes seem okay. The Trombone mouthpiece allows all of his lips to be in the cup for the first time. My son likes playing the trumpet. Will this affect the sound of the trumpet and make...
