im getting it for my boyfriend. not sure what key is best for this hohner harmonica. not even sure what all the keys do exactly. I know that key c is standard but i am wanting to get him another key and this harmonica. any advice or suggestions...
I would say A or G. A, C and G are probably the best keys to own. Great choice on the Golden Melody though, it's definitely one of the best Hohner harps out there.

I want to learn playing at harmonica and I don't know which is the best harmonica for beginners. Also it need to be a cheap one because I don't have much money. Do they still make the "Marine Band?" If nothing else, the name is really cool. The name "Pocket Pal" seems wimpy.
Which do you think is better between PUCK mini, Blues Band and Pocket Pal?

Huff and Puff at the Yellow Pine Harmonica Contest
Yellow Pine has a full-time population hovering around 40 people. But on the first weekend in August, the town will host more than 2,000 people for the 22nd annual Harmonica Contest and Festival.
This weekend, get your Hohner out and head north to the "harmonica capital of the Western world." Professional musician George Miklas from Mercer, Pennsylvania and New York area jazz harmonica player Chris Bauer will be on hand as judges as well as entertainers. Contests begin on Saturday morning with the youth, diatonic, chromatic and group divisions. Open-mic sessions and Saturday's crowd-pleaser contest are open for all to join in on the fun.
If Fido is feeling a little left out for lack of harmonica-playing ability, fear not. This year also brings a festival dog show. Pooches will be judged by biggest, smallest, oldest, youngest, best dog trick and the dog that traveled the farthest.
If you haven't arranged lodging but still plan to attend, be ready to camp. Forest Service campgrounds are available and unimproved campsites will be up for grabs on the golf course. Food and drink vendors will be set up on Main Street ready to fill your belly while the music fills your ears.

Anyone know the best key harmonica to use to play Beck’s song Loser? I have a C,D,E,and a Hohner Douple Puck that has a C and a G, but it’s kinda small and hard to use.
If there are any harp players out there that have chords to it I’d be much appreciative.

Determine the key of the song and then count 4 alphabetical places to your right starting with the key of the song to determine the cross harp position, ie. song key C=F harmonica, song key F=Bb harmonica.
