Itzhak Perlman to perform with RPO

Tickets, including pit for seats on sale Aug. 15 for subscribers and donors and August 29 for the general public.

This will be the sixth Perlman concert - and the first in six years - with the RPO. Perlman made his debut in 1970 APR, the performance of Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 2 under David Zinman. In 2005, Perlman performed the Beethoven Violin Concerto under Christopher Seaman.

"We are proud that Itzhak Perlman will return to Rochester to play with the APR on the historical stage of Eastman Theatre.This aspect of one of the giants of classical music is a natural complement to the events of celebration during the inaugural season of our new music director, Arild Remmereit, "RPO President & CEO Charlie Owens said in a news release.

RPO subscribers and donors (contributing $ 75 or more per year) will have the opportunity to purchase tickets, including seats well up close, this concert in the RPO Subscriber / Donor Weeks appreciation, to be held on August 15 through August 27. Then, all remaining tickets will be available for sale to the general public beginning August 29. Ticket prices range from $ 35 to $ 125.
