Student Clarinet B Flat w/Accessories
This is a great little clarinet for a student just starting to play. The quality is great and it came with a hard shell plastic case which was very nice. For someone on a budget, this was a very good buy and performs as expected.

I am out of school for the summer, and I just picked up a bass clarinet from a yard sale. It plays somewhat (Bb down to low Eb is ok). Its just when you start into the register it has problems.
Sounds like you have leaky pads - take the upper and lower joints seperately; with the upper joint finger as if you were going to play a "C" (so 3 fingers down), put your left hand across the bottom of the joint to seal it, then blow into it.

Ever since Charlie Christian plugged in his guitar, that instrument has been on the cutting edge of every style of jazz since the thirties. And for much of his astonishing 35-year career, the New Jersey-born guitarist Al Di Meola - who's been wowing the world ever since he debuted in the seventies as a teenage phenom with the fusion group Return to Forever - has been expanding the boundaries of the plectral horizon with verve and nerve. His impossible, Mephisto-like chops are only matched by his equally impressive ability to showcase the guitar in a variety of musical settings.

Student Clarinet and Levels of CraftsmanshipThe classifications student clarinet, intermediate clarinet, and professional clarinet aren’t always reliable. No matter the features or materials a clarinet may boast, its sound and reliability depend most heavily on craftsmanship. For this reason, it’s not a bad idea to shop brands like Selmer, Buffet, Leblanc, or Yamaha which have consistently put out quality clarinets for years. There are several other reliable manufacturers buyers can easily find by questioning experienced clarinetists....
Ridenour Bass Clarinet - Bass Clarinet For Sale
But I know if i wanted to use this as a pro horn and do solo work on it it probably wouldn’t cut it.
Hopefully this has answered your questions. If not continue to post more. I do have some other Ridenour products, his products are new and innovative so perhaps some kinks are still being worked out.
i should post a newer video now that I am a little more comfortable with the horn
If you are pro or are looking for THEE bass clarinet to get to major in college or play regularly, save your money and get a buffet or selmer. If you’re looking for a dubblers horn, for a swing band or community band, and you want that low C this is a practical horn to get. For me that’s what did it. I was looking for something economical that could get the job down and I believe this horn has the potential.
@ClickRec Funny you ask because I just got it back from the repair shop today. I wasn’t entirely happy with it when I got it so I decided to take it to a repair shop and have them check it out. Ends up that it had several leaks and needed adjustments all over the place. That stuff happens in shipping so i wasn’t too upset. It definitely plays better. The action on the lowest notes D Db and C is a tad sluggish. I hope I never have to trill between D and Eb
