Great Album
I've loved Gene Watson music for several years now, but this album really is "the Best of the Best". You can hear the maturity of the artist in each of these much loved songs. I didn't find one song that I didn't love as much or even more than the original version. I would highly recommend this... -

So much for a Class "Better of Losers."
Travis reassuring voice and "just people" have assured her presence following a quarter century, and Randy Travis: 25th Anniversary Celebration is a collection of greatest hits as performed by Travis and his guests. It is not a song included that should not be, and many of them have been tinkered with, producing a different view of what are now old standards. Fans of Travis would be perfectly happy with a solo album, but the added value of both country superstars is hard to resist.

Sold out Show with Legendary Gene Watson!
Posted by George Brothers | Red Dirt Music | Posted on July 13th, 2011
The George Brothers had the honor of hosting and opening the show for the legendary Gene Watson, during the first of many upcoming”concert series” shows at the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down in Eureka Springs. Tickets quickly sold out, and the theater was packed and ready for the man that made such hits as “14K Mind” and “Farewell Party”, along with 72 charted songs in country music.
The George Brothers and the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down band took the stage at 7:30pm and then the unexpected happened. With a sell out crowd and record breaking temperatures, the main breaker in the theater blew and the theater was now without lights and air conditioning. The Geoge Brothers went into immediate action and found help, but not before a packed house was sweating and Gene and his band were holding hand towels and bottled water as they began their performance. So, what did this mean for a country superstar like Gene Watson? Just another show! Gene put on an incredible performance despite the heat, and chalked it up to “just one of those things that happens sometimes”. What a guy! The crowd stayed, Gene did over 90 minutes of music, and everyone enjoyed a once in a lifetime performance by a legend in country music.
