Tigers, Wildcats prepare for two-a-days

Wildcats will play football will need to report two days to seven hours-Monday, August 1, practice football field in high school.

The Lady Tigers will host a scrimmage at 9 am Friday, August 5. The scrum will include the junior varsity and varsity A and B teams. Troup will visit City Halls for a scrum at 9:30 am Saturday, Aug. 6. The Varsity and Varsity Junior A team play.

The Lady Tigers will open the 2011 season voll eyball on the road for a doubles match with Longview in Longview and Kilgore. The action is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August9, for the Varsity and Junior Varsity A team. The Junior Varsity Team B will open in a doubles match with Longview and Kilgore to 6 pm on Tuesday, August 9 at Kilgore.

The Tigers will host two scrimmages, one with Gladewater Saturday, August 13, at a time to be announced. Troup Harmony will fray Thursday, August 18, also a time to be announced. 2011 football season will begin regular Thursday, August 25, when the Tigers play in a classic Shelbyville weekend at Bullard Brook Hill.

2011/2012 season exhibitions announced | NURTUREart

After carefully evaluating hundreds of proposals from our Open Calls, we are finally able to announce the full line up of artists and curators for NURTUREart’s upcoming 2011/12 exhibition season. NURTUREart is happy to announce that the selected projects include three group exhibitions curated respectively by Melissa Levin, Jonathan Durham will be granted the opportunity of presenting solo shows of their individual work.

Four of these shows (two solo artist projects and two curatorial projects) have been selected from Open Call submissions, evaluated this year by a panel including Summer Guthery, Bill Carroll, Omar Lopez Chahoud and Kevin Regan . Two additional shows have been determined via invitations extended by Gallery Director Marco Antonini, and voted by the whole board of trustees.
