I've been playing guitar for about 35 years. For the last 20, I've been pretty much a D'Addario user. I recently stumbled upon the D'Addario EXP line of coated phosphorus strings for my acoustic 6 string, and was very pleasantly surprised by the rich, full, piano-like tone of these strings! It...
  2. Decent product
I am a new guitar owner so my evauatiion is not based on many different types of strings but it worked well for me. I broke the first string while attempting to tune it but it could have been as much my error as the string soooo go for it.

Can I have reviews on the Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar?

I'm asking my dad to get me this guitar for christmas. I just now learning. Its so pretty and I've heard good things about it. Can I have some opinions on it?

You won't go wrong with that guitar, but in that price range there are many great choices. I think you owe it to yourself to try some fine guitars out and see what sounds and feels right to you. The Hummingbird is a fine looking guitar, and has it's own sound. In this price

Genre−bending 'Lulu' gives listeners unparalleled sensation

," Melancholic world, the sun doesn't shine as brightly and the grass isn't quite as green, but that's not to say that "Lulu" is a bad album.

"Lulu" is what happens when musicians as wealthy as Lou Reed and Metallica can afford to stop caring about the commercial viability of their output. "Lulu" is a towering tribute to nihilism, if such a thing can exist. "Lulu" goes places that make us all feel uncomfortable, but in doing so, "Lulu" becomes what no other album could: An oddly innovative perversion of low and high art, an exploration of two radically different genres and a jab at whatever conventions one might still see in the musical world. Did I mention that it's a double CD?

It doesn't take long for the album's disturbing nature to reveal itself.

Music Review: Frank Viele & The Manhattan Project - Acoustic Vudu

Seattle Post Intelligencer (blog) - Dec 31, 1969

With "Neon Lights," the guitar lick still has just as much power as it does in the electric version, but I love that they've slowed it down a bit and let the horn section shine. The sax and muted trumpet set things up with a beautiful quiet as the song
